History
Where it began
José Banús opened the marina in 1970 with a celebrated party attended by Prince Rainier and Grace Kelly, Roman Polanski and Hugh Hefner. Designed to look like a traditional Andalusian fishing village, it quickly became a symbol of Marbella's international glamour.
Future
Where it is heading
Ongoing renovations of the marina, new beachfront promenades and refurbished frontline buildings keep Puerto Banús in high demand — particularly for buyers who want a lock-up-and-leave home with strong rental potential.
